Dan Hom has more than 20 years of community involvement, business experience and international expertise. As the President of Focuscom, his responsibilities include managing and providing strategy for clients, and driving business development. Dan has significant experience with various communities in San Diego County. Over the years, Dan has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for organizations like the San Diego Hospice, the Risen Project, the San Diego Asian Film Foundation, and the Asian Business Association. He was also a board member of two privately held corporations, each with revenues exceeding $10 million annually.
Born and raised in San Diego, Dan is a community relations expert and his community connections continue to stretch across a wide range of areas and industries. Dan studied political science at San Diego State University with a minor in Mandarin Chinese studies. He currently lives in the city of Chula Vista with his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Audrey.
Lisa is Focuscom Inc.’s financial controller with a role that focuses on invoicing aspects, directing all accounts receivable and accounts payable. Currently, she is the controller at Polaris Pharmaceuticals Inc. In La Jolla. She is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities.
Prior to joining Focuscom Inc., she was the staff accountant at Bullen Ruch & Neller, a CPA firm. She has also served at the community service representative for San Diego County Supervisor Ron Roberts.
Andie is a foodie, golfer and PR Practitioner all in one.
She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and grew up speaking both English and Tagalog. She began playing competitive golf at the age of seven. Balancing school and golf at such a young age taught her how to be disciplined and a multitasker. Traveling to several parts of the world gave her the opportunity to develop her communication skills with individuals from various backgrounds. Andie competed in several tournaments in San Diego during her junior golf days, so deciding to move to the area to join the Focuscom Inc. team was a no-brainer.
Andie strengthens the Focuscom team because she works well in a fast-paced environment and is always up-to-date. She bring her excellent strategic and creative research skills to the company, as well as her keen eye for design.
Andie attended Pepperdine University with a degree in Public Relations. She graduated in April 2017 with Magna Cum Laude honors. During Andie's years at Pepperdine, she was a member of the women's golf team from her freshman to senior year, a part of Pepperdine's PRSSA chapter and interned at fashion, entertainment and food PR agencies. She is thrilled to jump into the field of PR and explore the field of public affairs at Focuscom.

Tomas Urtasun serves as a main point of contact for many of Focuscom’s wide client portfolio while also serving as a business development and daily strategic operation manager. He’s responsible for Focuscom’s largest clients and serves as point person for the agencies’ growing crisis communications arm.
Tomas exhibits keen interpersonal skills and an affinity for working with people from all walks of life. An active leader in the community, he serves as Board Treasurer for the Board of Trustees of San Ysidro Health Center, a top-10 community health network in the nation. He is also a new addition to the Board for San Diego Tax Payers Association and serves as a Big Brother during his free time.
He has worked previously for the U.S. Congress, San Diego Gas & Electric, Hutchens P.R., and Southwest Strategies, and internationally as a consultant for Enersud Clean Energy in Rio de Janeiro. Tomas has a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
Tomas is a 2016 San Diego 40 Under 40 Honoree, representing a group of bright and outstanding individuals. He was a finalist for San Diego Magazine’s 2013 Latinos Making a Difference. He’s also an avid athlete and competes in sports leagues year around. Tomas is bilingual and grew up in Imperial Beach, California.

Olivia brings a fresh perspective and passion to learn and grow to the Focuscom team. In her efforts in the culinary, beer, arts & culture, nonprofit and local businesses spaces, she has garnered local, national and international media recognition for Focuscom’s clients. From her start as an intern to being promoted to an account executive, her desire to share a company’s story has guided her to be successful in media relations, community engagement and producing creative content.
In her commitment to always sharpen her industry skills, Olivia is a member of the Public Relations Society of America San Diego/Imperial Counties and served on the 2017 New Pros Committee as the Event Co-Chair and Treasurer. She was awarded the 2017 New PR Professional of the Year Award by the organization at the Edward L. Bernay's Mark of Excellence Awards.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Olivia moved to San Diego simply due to her passion to learn Spanish. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University, majoring in Spanish and minoring in both Writing and Public Relations. She enjoys and values the rich Spanish-speaking community in the San Diego-Tijuana area. She served as the Education Sponsorship Program Coordinator as a part of Mexico Ministries at PLNU. While in this position, she created a pen pal program between university students and children living at an orphanage in Tijuana. Olivia’s sense of cultural awareness comes from travelling Europe, studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain and being completely immersed in a Spanish-speaking culture. Olivia offers bilingualism, writing, interpersonal communication skills and a creative mind to the team.

Dani Grace is a food enthusiast, performer and avid writer. She hopes to bring energy and inspiration to the Focuscom team as an intern this summer. Dani loves to spend her free time swimming at the beach, reading, cooking, playing the piano and singing. Though she loves attending college in Washington, D.C., Dani is happy to be back in California to engage her interests in public relations work.
Dani is pursuing a journalism and mass communications major in The George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, and a music minor in the Corcoran School of Arts and Design, Class of 2020. She has served as a student ambassador for the SMPA program at GW, in which she mentors prospective and newly admitted journalism students, for two years.
Dani has been writing news articles at the student-run newspaper, The GW Hatchet, since 2016 as a reporter, staff writer and research assistant. She is entering her second year serving as the editor for the metro news section, in which she covers beats such as the Metropolitan Police Department, the GW Police Department, the D.C. Council, community developments and campus housing.
Dani also serves as the vice president for the University Singers choral ensemble at GW and is a cantor at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church in D.C. Throughout her music career, Dani has performed at concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Though her main focus remains on a career in writing, Dani hopes to continuously maintain her passion for music.
