Third time’s a charm! The Focuscom team took home another Silver Bernays Multicultural Public Relations Award for the third year in a row!

We’re always thrilled to attend the Edward L. Bernays Awards because it’s PRSA San Diego/Imperial County’s biggest event of the year, where PR professionals are recognized for their remarkable work. The event was held at the beautiful Alexandria at Torrey Pines and was emceed by Joe Little of NBC 7. Prior to the ceremony, guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and hand-crafted cocktails. To celebrate all the winners, the night ended with champagne and dessert.

It was an honor to be awarded for our work with the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum in captivating a new audience. Back in June, the museum held their first Noodle Cook-Off featuring social media phenomenon, Mike Chen of Strictly Dumpling as the guest judge. Focuscom made the most of this incredible opportunity and successfully accomplished all our objectives, such as gaining coverage from local publications like the San Diego Union Tribune and Eater San Diego, as well as having Mike Chen post about the event on his personal social media. The museum’s social media following substantially increased and attendees shared how they were fascinated by all the creative dishes each participating chef prepared.

Make sure to watch Mike’s video of his entire San Diego experience, including his visit to the museum and his stay at The Pendry.

Additional judges included Cathlyn Choi, Host and Producer of Cathlyn’s Korean Kitchen and Candice Woo, Founding Editor of Eater San Diego, while Alex Nguyen, Award-Winning Journalist emceed the event. To top it all off, attendees enjoyed beer from Duck Foot Brewing Company and rolled ice cream from ICMonster.

Thank you to the museum for having us be a part of your first Noodle Cook-Off!
